The ferry port of Poros is on Kefalonia in Greece. From here you can reach Kyllini. A ferry leaves up to 8 times a day. The crossing takes around 1.5 hours. The port is served by Levante Ferries.
Getting there and the terminal
Poros is a coastal village of a good 1,500 inhabitants in the south-east of Kefalonia, and that is a long way from the island capital: it is 40 kilometres to Argostoli and 26 to Sami. If you arrive without your own vehicle, you should know that beforehand. The KTEL bus between Poros and Argostoli runs only once or twice a day, and exactly how often depends on the season. There are taxis in the village, but they become expensive on the long run to Argostoli; hire cars and scooters can be delivered to the port. The port itself is small and offers little more than the berth. Tavernas, cafés, shops and hotels are immediately behind it in the village, so a wait is easy to bridge.
