Ferries to Portici

The ferry port of Portici lies on the Bay of Naples at the foot of Vesuvius, in the Metropolitan City of Naples. From here you can reach Capri in 1.25 hours, as well as Positano and Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast, with the longest crossing taking 2.5 hours. Together the services add up to as many as 4 departures a day. The port is served by Laser Capri, which in the bay also calls at Torre del Greco, Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento and Seiano.

Getting there and the terminal

Ships leave from the Molo del Granatello, at Banchina 3 of the port of Portici; the Laser Capri ticket desk is there as well. Portici-Ercolano station lies directly opposite the harbour basin, and Trenitalia stops here on the Naples-Battipaglia line. For foot passengers that is the easiest way: you arrive practically at the berth and do not have to fight your way through the traffic of the suburbs. For travellers from the south of Naples, Portici is therefore a quieter alternative to the city's big berths.
