The ferry port of Porto Santo Stefano lies in Tuscany in Italy, in the province of Grosseto. From here you can reach Giglio. Ferries leave up to 8 times a day. The crossing takes around an hour. The port is served by Toremar.

Getting there and the terminal

Boarding takes place at the commercial harbour Porto del Valle at the entrance to Porto Santo Stefano, on the north coast of Monte Argentario, address Piazzale Candi 8. The ticket desks are opposite on Piazza Facchinetti. From the north you drive along the Aurelia past Grosseto and leave it after around 34 kilometres at Albinia, from where Porto Santo Stefano is signposted; from the south you take the A12 towards Civitavecchia and continue on the SS1 Aurelia to Orbetello. By train you get off at Orbetello - Monte Argentario on the Pisa - Rome line, and Tiemme buses run from there to the berth. The port has paid parking only, including the Parcheggio Fanciulli around 300 metres away, the Parcheggio Argentario around 400 metres away and the Parcheggio Asiamel with a free shuttle.

Check-in

Toremar expects foot passengers at the port 30 minutes before departure. With a vehicle you should be there a full hour beforehand.
