Pozzuoli ferry port lies in the Campi Flegrei west of Naples, in the Rione Bognar district. From here you can reach Procida and Ischia. Together the connections add up to as many as 60 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and one hour. 5 operators call at the port, among them Capitan Morgan, Caremar and Ippocampo.
Getting there and the terminal
For the islands in the gulf, Pozzuoli is the port of short distances: Caremar describes the approach from Naples and the Phlegraean Fields via the Via Domiziana, and by rail on the suburban lines of the Metropolitana and the Circumflegrea. Ships dock at the main mole; ticket desk, bar, cash machine, newsstand and a taxi rank are right there.
Caremar's biglietteria stands on the Banchina Emporio, directly next to the loading lanes, and is staffed daily from 8am to 5pm. In practice that means: put the car in the lane, walk to the desk, walk back to the car. Other operators have desks of their own in the port area.
Check-in
Medmar sets the strictest rule here. Vehicles with a valid ticket have to be at the loading area at least 30 minutes before departure, foot passengers at least 15 minutes before. After that, carriage is no longer guaranteed. If you booked online, allow extra time to exchange the reservation at the desk.
