Procida ferry port is at the Marina Grande, the main berth of the smallest inhabited island in the Bay of Naples. From here you can reach 9 destinations. The most frequent are Ischia in 15 minutes, Pozzuoli in 30 minutes and Naples in 45 minutes; together the services run up to 134 departures a day. Then there are the longer runs to the Amalfi Coast — Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Salerno — for which you have to allow up to 3.5 hours. 9 operators call at the port, among them Caremar, SNAV, Alilauro Gruson and Medmar.
Getting there and the terminal
The Marina Grande is reached via the island's road network and is only a few hundred metres from the island's central bus station. The berth itself is compact: ticket office, bar, cash machine, taxi rank, a covered waiting area and a kiosk are all right on the quay, so you have no distance to cover once you leave the ship.
Check-in
You collect your boarding pass at the desk in the port. In its conditions of carriage for the Bay of Naples, SNAV requires you to be at the desk no later than 30 minutes before departure, and Alilauro gives the same deadline for checks and boarding. Medmar sets 30 minutes for vehicles and 15 minutes for foot passengers. Stick to the stricter 30 minutes and you will be fine on every route.
