Ferries to Propriano

The ferry port of Propriano lies on Corsica in France, on the Gulf of Valinco on the southern part of the west coast. The berth is in the Les Hameaux de Propriano district. From here you can reach 4 destinations, among them Marseille, Nice and Porto Torres. Together the services add up to as many as 8 departures a day. Crossings take between 3.75 and 13 hours. The port is served by Corsica Ferries and Corsica Linea. If you are heading for the south-west of Corsica, Propriano saves you the onward drive from Ajaccio or Bonifacio.

Getting there and the terminal

The gare maritime is on Quai L'Herminier in 20110 Propriano, in the commercial port right next to the marina. Corsica Linea describes the location as in the middle of the town, and La Méridionale gives it as less than a kilometre from the central points of the town. Pedestrians and drivers use the same entrance through the Port de Commerce.

Coming from Ajaccio you take the N196 to Propriano, then the coast road towards Centre-Ville and follow the signs to the Port de Commerce. From Bonifacio the N196 runs towards Propriano and Ajaccio, and then the D196 into the centre. From Porto-Vecchio the route is the N198, the D859 and the N196.

Check-in

Corsica Ferries expects passengers with a vehicle at the port at the latest one hour before departure and passengers without a vehicle at the latest 30 minutes before, though in high season more like an hour and a half. La Méridionale, which also calls at Propriano, sets stricter deadlines: one hour on foot, an hour and a half with a vehicle.
