- Hafen Puerto Princesa (Zufahrten von Rizal Avenue und Malvar Street)
The ferry port of Puerto Princesa lies on the east coast of Palawan and is the provincial capital's access to the sea. From here, ships sail to Manila on Luzon, to Cebu City and to one destination on Busuanga in the north of Palawan. These are long overnight hauls: 13 hours to Busuanga, 23 hours to Cebu City and 29 hours to Manila. Together the services add up to as many as 5 departures a day. The port is served by 2GO Travel.
Getting there and the terminal
The port lies on the edge of the city centre and has two approach roads, one from Rizal Avenue and one from Malvar Street. Both have two lanes, so the way in from town is short.
Check-in
2GO Travel requires an unusually early check-in: you are expected at the desk at least four hours before departure, and the boarding gate closes one hour before departure. Bring the printed ticket confirmation and official photo ID. Without both, the operator can refuse to carry you. Excess baggage is checked in at a separate desk, and the security check follows after that.
