Gare maritime Port Maria, Südrand von Quiberon
Location
Port Maria, Morbihan

Quiberon ferry port lies at the southern end of the peninsula of the same name in the Morbihan, and the boats leave from the harbour basin of Port Maria. From here you can reach four destinations: Le Palais and Sauzon on Belle-Île, plus the smaller islands of Houat and Hœdic. Together the services run up to 43 departures a day, and crossings take between 30 minutes and 1.25 hours. The port is served by Breizhgo Oceane.

Getting there and the terminal

The Gare maritime stands directly on Port Maria at the southern edge of the town. By train you can get as far as Auray, the nearest TGV station; in summer the Tire-bouchon runs from there via Plouharnel and Saint-Pierre-Quiberon to Quiberon. The BreizhGo bus route 601 runs all year from Auray via Plouharnel to the peninsula.

If you come by car, it is better to leave it outside the town. The Parking des îles at 63 avenue du Général de Gaulle is open from April to November and is linked to the Gare maritime by shuttle during that period; from November to March the BreizhGo bus takes over from the Saint-Julien stop, 150 metres from the car park. The Kerné and Sizorn car parks in the Rue de Port Maria are chargeable as well. The Office de Tourisme for the Baie de Quiberon advises being at the port an hour before departure and allowing time to find a space in high season. There are luggage lockers at the Gare maritime for anything you do not want to take to the island.
