Reggio Calabria ferry port lies in Calabria on the Strait of Messina. From here you can reach 7 destinations, among them Messina, Lipari and Salina. Together the connections add up to as many as 57 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 4 hours. The port is served by Liberty Lines.

Getting there and the terminal

The port belongs to the Strait of Messina port authority and is primarily a passenger port: it links Reggio by scheduled service with Sicily and with the Aeolian Islands, and there is a ferry service for heavy vehicles to Tremestieri on top. The hydrofoils are handled at the Stazione Marittima on Via Candeloro. The Liberty Lines desk there is staffed Monday to Friday from 5.30am to 11.30pm, and at weekends and on public holidays in several blocks spread over the day. On the Sicilian side the boats dock at the Molo Rizzo on Via Luigi Rizzo, where Liberty Lines also runs a ticket office. Vehicles do not travel on this service but on the ferry link to Tremestieri.

Check-in

Liberty Lines requires you to be at the boarding point with a valid ticket and ID no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled departure, and 45 minutes before on international routes. If you need assistance, report to the port 30 minutes before departure. Once these deadlines have passed, carriage is no longer guaranteed.
