The ferry port of Rogač is the main berth of the Dalmatian island of Šolta in Croatia. From here you can reach Split and Milna on Brač. Together the routes add up to as many as 6 departures a day. The crossing takes around 30 minutes. The port is served by Krilo Shipping Company.
Getting there and the terminal
Rogač is not a village but a bay with a landing stage: every ship from the mainland ties up here, while the villages of Šolta lie inland and around the bays. So you do not have to arrange onward transport, but you should know which way you want to go. Two buses wait at the pier for every arriving ferry: one goes east towards Stomorska, the other west towards Maslinica. The island timetables are published online by the transport operator Promet Split.
On the mainland side, ships leave from the ferry port of Split, right next to the bus and railway stations. If you arrive by train from Zagreb, you are practically on the quay already; from Split airport it is around 25 kilometres to the port, with shuttle buses and taxis covering the route. One difference is decisive for planning: the car ferry takes about an hour and carries vehicles, while the catamaran does the trip in half an hour but takes foot passengers only.
