The ferry port of Rovinj lies on the Istrian west coast of Croatia, with the berth right by the old town. From here you can reach Cesenatico, Trieste and Venice. Together the services add up to as many as 6 departures a day. Crossings take between 1.75 and 3 hours. The port is served by Gomo Viaggi, Kompas and Liberty Lines.
Check-in
All services from Rovinj go to Italy and therefore count as international routes. Liberty Lines has the strictest deadline of the three operators: you must be at the boarding point 45 minutes before the scheduled departure, with a valid ticket and ID. On the operator's domestic routes it is only 15 minutes, so do not rely on that here. You are processed by the operator's ground staff at the berth; without a boarding pass, which may also be shown on a smartphone, you will not get on board. If you have registered for assistance, be there 30 minutes before departure. This deadline does not automatically apply to the Gomo Viaggi and Kompas sailings, so ask them for their own requirements.
