Sark ferry port lies on the car-free Channel Island of Sark, between Guernsey and Jersey. From here you can reach Jersey. Up to 2 ferries leave each day, and the crossing takes about 1.25 hours. The route is operated by Manche Iles Express.
Getting there and the terminal
The boats tie up in Maseline Harbour. A tunnel leads from the quay into the open, and behind it the Tractor Bus waits to take passengers up Harbour Hill for a small fee, in cash or by card. On foot you have three ways up: the road over Harbour Hill, the cliff path via Les Laches and the cliff path through the Bluebell Woods. Cars are not permitted on the island, so you get around on foot, by bicycle, by tractor or by horse-drawn carriage.
The service from Jersey is run by Manche Iles Express out of St Helier, several times a week between April and September. Sailings from Guernsey are more frequent: Isle of Sark Shipping leaves from the Inter Island Quay in St Peter Port harbour and takes around 45 minutes. You need photo identification for journeys between the islands.
Check-in
Manche Iles Express requires check-in to be completed no later than 40 minutes before the scheduled departure. The operator recommends being at the desk an hour beforehand in Sark and Guernsey, and an hour and a half in Jersey.
