Shenzhen Airport
Airport pier
Shenzhen Airport ferry port is the high-speed ferry berth at Shenzhen airport in China. From here you can reach Macao. Up to 12 ferries leave each day. The crossing takes about an hour. The port is served by TurboJet.
Getting there and the terminal
The berth is officially called Shenzhen Airport Ferry Terminal and also appears in timetables as Fuyong. It is not inside the airport building but next to it: in the Fuyong area of Bao'an District, on the bank of the Pearl River. A shuttle bus runs between the airport and the berth, and TurboJET gives the journey time as around five minutes. The terminal has ticket desks, a waiting hall, baggage handling, currency exchange and a restaurant.
Important if you are connecting: boarding here means leaving the People's Republic. Chinese border control takes place in the ferry terminal, not in the airport terminal.
Check-in
TurboJET asks you to be on board no later than 30 minutes before departure, because travel documents are checked beforehand. Shenzhen airport also states a hard limit: the entry gate at the ferry terminal closes five minutes before departure. Tickets are issued in your name, so your ID has to match the booking. Changing a booking is not offered on this route, and for cancellations the operator keeps part of the fare, depending on when you cancel.
