Silba ferry port serves the island of the same name in the northern Zadar archipelago in Croatia. From here you can reach 8 destinations, among them Zadar, Ilovik Island and Mali Losinj. Together the services add up to as many as 18 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 3.5 hours. The port is served by Jadrolinija, Krilo Kapetan Luka and TP Line.
Getting there and the terminal
Silba has two berths, and you should know that before you arrive. Mul is in the north-east, Žalić in the south-west. The ferries and the freight traffic tie up at the pier at Žalić, while Mul handles the rest of the passenger and boat traffic. The two are 600 metres and around ten minutes' walk apart; the village of Silba itself lies between them, at the narrowest point of the hourglass-shaped island. So you cannot end up far off, but the walk with luggage is reason enough to check the right berth on your ticket.
The second point matters more: Silba is entirely car-free. The whole island counts as a pedestrian zone, and only supply vehicles belonging to local businesses are allowed. If you travel by car, you leave it on the mainland and cross on foot. On Silba you carry or wheel your luggage; there are no taxis, buses or hire cars.
