Skopelos ferry port is on the east coast of the island of the same name in the Northern Sporades, right beside the Chora. From here you reach Alonissos in a quarter of an hour, Skiathos in one hour and Volos on the mainland in 2.5 hours, plus Glossa in the north-west of your own island, Mantoudi on Evia and Thessaloniki. Together the services add up to as many as 35 departures a day, and crossings take between 15 minutes and 3.75 hours. The port is served by Aegean Flying Dolphins and SeaJets.

Getting there and the terminal

Two sections of the town harbour are reserved for scheduled services: 70 metres of quayside for ro-ro ferries and 55 metres where ferries and catamarans moor alongside one another. More important than the berth, though, is the question of which of the island's three harbours your ship actually calls at. Alongside Skopelos town, the municipal port authority also runs Loutraki near Glossa in the north-west, where most ships from Agios Konstantinos, Volos and Skiathos tie up. From there to the Chora it is 23.4 kilometres via Glysteri and Karia, 28.5 kilometres via Agios Riginos or 33.1 kilometres via Stafylos and Agnontas, so 38 to 45 minutes by car. The third harbour, Agnontas on the south coast, is eight kilometres and around ten minutes from the Chora and is likewise equipped for ro-ro ferries and fast boats. If you are staying in the Chora and have booked to Loutraki, you need half an hour more travel than you think.
