The ferry port of Souvala lies on Aegina in Greece. From here you can reach Piraeus. Ferries leave up to 6 times a day. The crossing takes around an hour. The port is served by Saronic Ferries.
Getting there and the terminal
Souvala is not the island's main port, and that is the most important piece of information on this page. The berth lies on the north coast of Aegina, while the large harbour of the island capital is on the west side. If you have booked a ticket to Souvala and head into town out of habit, you will be standing at the wrong quay.
The municipal port authority of Aegina lists Souvala as the island's second most important passenger port and points out that sailings to Piraeus are frequent, especially in summer. The old fishing village has become a holiday resort: tavernas, cafés and bars line the waterfront, with mostly holiday homes behind them. The berth lies in the middle of this village centre, so foot passengers step straight into the village as they come ashore. For onward travel to the island capital or to the beaches in the east, work out in advance how you will cover the distance.
