The ferry berth on Spectacle Island lies in Boston Harbor and belongs to the Boston Harbor Islands reserve. From here you can reach Boston. A vessel leaves up to 7 times a day. The crossing takes around 30 minutes. The island is served by Boston Harbor City Cruises.

Getting there and the terminal

The island can only be reached by boat. The ferries start at Long Wharf North, 66 Long Wharf, in downtown Boston. Public ferry services to the Boston Harbor Islands run seasonally from May to October, with nothing in winter; in 2026 the boats run between mid-May and mid-October, divided into a spring, a summer and an autumn period. On the island you will find a visitor centre with an exhibition, toilets at the level of the berth, drinking water, walking trails and a bathing beach.

Check-in

The park asks you to be at Long Wharf North at least 20 minutes before departure, so that boarding can run calmly.
