- Berjaya Waterfront Ferry Terminal, Jalan Ibrahim Sultan, Johor Bahru
The ferry port of Stulang Laut is in Malaysia, on the southern shore of Johor Bahru. From here you can reach Batam Centre in Indonesia. There are up to 8 sailings a day and the crossing takes around 2.5 hours. The port is served by Dolphin Fast Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
The berth is officially called the Berjaya Waterfront Ferry Terminal and belongs to the complex of the same name on Jalan Ibrahim Sultan: duty-free zone, shopping centre, hotel and ferry terminal under one roof. It is around four kilometres from the centre of Johor Bahru. So if your ticket says Stulang Laut, you are not looking for a harbour road of its own but for this complex.
The terminal is an official seaport and an international border crossing in southern Malaysia. Customs and immigration desks for departure and arrival are all in place, and the waiting hall is air conditioned and large enough for the busy periods. Build the border formalities firmly into your timing in both directions: on this route they are the part you can control least.
