The ferry port of Susak is on the small Croatian island of Susak, reckoned to be the only sand island in the Mediterranean and home to fewer than 200 people. From here you can reach 6 destinations, among them Ilovik Island, Mali Losinj and Pula. Together the services add up to as many as 12 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 3 hours. The port is served by Krilo Kapetan Luka.
Getting there and the terminal
Susak is not at the end of a branch line but in the middle of a through catamaran route: Krilo runs it as Pula - Unije - Susak - Mali Lošinj - Ilovik - Silba - Zadar. From Pula the operator gives around 1 hour 40 minutes to the island. That also explains the comparatively large number of destinations for such a small berth. Because the line runs right through, you can travel on from Susak in both directions: one way via Unije to Pula, the other via Mali Lošinj, Ilovik and Silba to Zadar. Tickets are available online or at the operator's sales points; in rough weather individual calls are dropped, something the operator addresses explicitly in its notices.
