The ferry port of Swinoujscie lies in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, right on the German border. From here you can reach Trelleborg, Ystad and Malmo. Together the services add up to as many as 16 departures a day. Crossings take between 6.5 and 8.25 hours. The port is served by Finnlines, Polferries, POLSCA Baltic Ferries and TT-Line.
Getting there and the terminal
One thing to note: the ferry terminals are not in the seaside resort on Usedom but across the Świna in the Warszów district on the island of Wolin. Polferries checks in at the ferry terminal at ul. Dworcowa 1, Finnlines at the Euro Terminal, ul. Jana Sołtana 1. The railway station, the bus station and the municipal ferry crossing are also in Warszów on ul. Dworcowa, and a road tunnel under the Świna links the two parts of the town. To reach the Euro Terminal you follow the ferry signs from the S3/E65 for around six kilometres along Wolińska, then turn left into Ludzi Morza and right into Jana Sołtana. The Szkoła Morska bus stop is 300 metres from check-in.
Check-in
At Polferries, check-in opens 120 minutes before departure and closes 30 minutes beforehand for vehicles and 15 minutes beforehand for foot passengers. With an electric car you have to be there 120 minutes before departure. Finnlines is stricter: there check-in in the terminal building opens two hours before departure and closes one hour beforehand.
