Ferries to Torre del Greco

The ferry port of Torre del Greco lies on the Bay of Naples at the foot of Vesuvius and belongs to the Metropolitan City of Naples in Campania. From here you can reach Capri, Amalfi and Positano. Together the services add up to as many as 4 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 2 hours. The port is served by Laser Capri.

Getting there and the terminal

The Laser Capri berth and ticket office are in the Porto di Torre del Greco on Via Calastro. There is no large terminal building: you report at the operator's office in the harbour and board directly from there. Torre del Greco is one of several departure points on the same route, and the operator also serves Portici, Sorrento, Piano di Sorrento and Seiano. So when booking, check carefully which of these places is on your ticket.

For the trip to Capri, Laser Capri gives around 50 minutes. It starts in the morning, and the boat returns from Capri in the late afternoon. That pattern is enough for a day trip but not for arriving in the afternoon: if you are travelling later, you have to switch to one of the larger ports on the bay. Positano and Amalfi take correspondingly longer, a good hour and a half to two hours.
