Trapani sits on the western tip of Sicily and is the ferry port for the Aegadian Islands. Four destinations are served from here: Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo lie just off the coast, while Pantelleria is far out between Sicily and Tunisia. Together the connections add up to as many as 106 departures a day, and crossings take between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours. The port is served by Liberty Lines, Siremar and Torre Lines.

Getting there and the terminal

The hydrofoils to Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo leave from the Molo d'imbarco aliscafi at Via Ammiraglio Staiti 23. The Liberty Lines desk is there too, open daily from 6am to 8pm. The ferry to Pantelleria is handled at the desks inside the port. If you arrive by car and want to leave it behind, there are two car parks near the port: the ATM Terminal City Parking on Viale dei Grandi Eventi and the Porto Trapani Parking at Via Libica 19.

Check-in

Liberty Lines' conditions of carriage require you to be at the boarding area with a valid ticket no later than 30 minutes before departure. After that, carriage is no longer guaranteed, even if the ship itself is running late. If you are taking a vehicle to Pantelleria, allow considerably more time: loading has to be finished before the ship casts off.
