Ferries to Trelleborg

The ferry port of Trelleborg is in Sweden, at the southernmost point of the country. From here you can reach 4 destinations, among them Rostock, Swinoujscie and Travemünde. Together the services add up to as many as 30 departures a day. Crossings take between 6 and 19 hours. The port is served by DFDS, POLSCA Baltic Ferries, Stena Line and TT-Line. Stena Line describes the port as the gateway between Scandinavia and central Europe; it is within walking distance of the centre of Trelleborg.

Getting there and the terminal

For the port of Trelleborg, Stena Line gives the address Norra Nyhamnsgatan 1A, 231 61 Trelleborg. From Malmo, around 30 kilometres away, the E22 and E6 lead straight to the terminal; from Ystad, about 45 kilometres away, you take road 9 or the E65. Short-stay and long-stay parking at the terminal is chargeable.

The difference between arriving by car and on foot matters here: with Stena Line, foot and bicycle passengers do not check in at the vehicle terminal but at Hamngatan 9, 231 42 Trelleborg, and travel from there to the ship by shuttle bus. The Pågatåg trains stop at Trelleborg main station, as do the buses from Scania. From there it is less than a five-minute walk to the passenger terminal on Hamngatan.

Check-in

At Stena Line, check-in in Trelleborg closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Also think about how you will pay: in the ports of Trelleborg and Rostock and on board the ships on this route, Stena Line accepts cards only, no cash.
