The ferry port of Trois Rivieres is on the south coast of Basse-Terre on Guadeloupe and is the departure point with the shortest crossing to the Îles des Saintes. From here you can reach Les Saintes and Les Saintes Terre-de-Bas. Together the routes run up to 35 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 and 45 minutes. The port is served by CTM Deher and FRS Alizes.
Getting there and the terminal
Check the destination when you book, because Les Saintes is an archipelago and not a single place. From Trois Rivieres the boats call at two different islands: Terre-de-Haut with the main village, which the timetables simply call Les Saintes, and the much quieter neighbouring island of Terre-de-Bas. Both are separate islands with no road link between them, and the crossing to Terre-de-Bas takes 45 minutes rather than 30. If your accommodation is on one island and you arrive on the other, you need another boat. Both destinations are served several times a day, so a visit works as a day trip.
