Getting there and the terminal

Caledonian MacBrayne handles departures in Troon from Arran House, 100 Port Ranald Drive, KA10 6HH. Troon station is around 1.3 miles away and has services to Glasgow; a free shuttle bus runs between the station and the ferry terminal. The harbour car park is operated by Associated British Ports, is chargeable and uses number plate recognition; a shuttle also runs between the car park and the terminal building. Allow plenty of time for getting about: from the car park and the vehicle lanes to the terminal building at the end of the pier is around ten minutes on foot.

Check-in

For vehicles check-in closes 30 minutes before departure, at the booth at the start of the vehicle lanes. Foot passengers must be ready 10 minutes before departure; if you already have your ticket you do not need to go to the desk but have it scanned as you board. Online sales close two hours before departure. The operator advises booking, particularly for vehicles. Note too that departures from Troon are not timed to connect with the buses on Arran.
