Abfertigung am Passagierterminal Port Denarau (Schalter South Sea Cruises)

Tropica Island ferry port is in Fiji. From here you can reach Denarau. Up to 6 ferries leave each day. The crossing takes about an hour. The port is served by South Sea Cruises.

Getting there and the terminal

The berth carries the name of the resort, not of the island: Tropica Island Resort lies on Malolo in the Mamanuca group, around 25 kilometres west of Nadi international airport. If you look for an island called Tropica on the map, you will not find it.

Every journey starts at Port Denarau near Nadi. South Sea Cruises catamarans run from there several times a day; some sailings go direct, others call at further islands on the way, which lengthens the journey noticeably. Check which of the two you are getting when you book. For the trip to the terminal itself, the operator offers pre-booked shared transfers from most hotels in Nadi, Wailoaloa and on Denarau, to be registered at least 24 hours in advance.

Check-in

South Sea Cruises expects you at its own desk in the Port Denarau passenger terminal 30 minutes before departure. The resort reckons on around 25 minutes' driving time from Nadi airport to Port Denarau, which has to be added to your planning. If you land on the day of travel and still want to cross, work through that chain once before you book the last catamaran of the day.
