Two Harbors ferry port lies on Catalina Island in the United States. From here you can reach San Pedro LA. A ferry leaves up to 6 times a day. The crossing takes around 1.25 hours. The port is served by Catalina Express.

Getting there and the terminal

Along with Avalon, Two Harbors is the island's second point of call and lies at its western end on a narrow isthmus between two bays, Isthmus Cove and Catalina Harbor. Hence the name. Avalon is around 13.4 miles away by sea, but 22 miles by land: the road is much the longer way round. In summer a boat also runs between Avalon and Two Harbors, taking around 40 minutes for the trip. On the spot, Two Harbors Visitor Services is the place to go for transport, check-in, hire and permits.

Check-in

Catalina Express asks passengers to be at the harbour at least an hour before departure. You should be checked in and holding your ticket no later than 30 minutes before departure. The gates close 5 minutes before the scheduled departure; anyone not on board by then has lost their place, and nothing is refunded. At a port served by only a few departures a day, missing one costs you half a day of your trip.
