Ferries to Vietri sul mare

The ferry port of Vietri sul mare lies at the eastern start of the Amalfi Coast, in the province of Salerno in Campania, immediately west of the city of Salerno. It is not a long-distance port but a stop on the dense coastal service: from here you can reach 7 destinations, among them Salerno, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Positano and the island of Capri. Together the connections add up to as many as 81 departures a day, and crossings take between half an hour and 2.25 hours. The berth is served by Travelmar, Alicost and Sant'andrea, with sailings on around five and a half days of the week.

Getting there and the terminal

In Vietri, Travelmar calls at the Marina di Vietri, the berth down at the water. There is a ticket desk with a booking service, plus a bar and mooring assistance for pleasure craft up to 24 metres long. If you do not know the place, allow generous time for the walk down from your accommodation to the water.

Check-in

Travelmar requires you to be at the boarding point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure even with a ticket bought in advance; otherwise your place can be given away. If you are using a return ticket, reserve the return sailing you want at least two hours in advance, or your place is not guaranteed.
