Location
Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, England

The ferry port of Yarmouth is in the west of the Isle of Wight at the mouth of the Yar and is the island's westernmost ferry berth. From here you can reach Lymington on the English mainland, up to 32 times a day, and the crossing takes around 45 minutes. The route is served by Wightlink. Yarmouth has remained a small harbour town: the berth is on the edge of the centre, not on a separate terminal site.

Getting there and the terminal

Yarmouth Car Ferry Terminal is on Quay Street, PO41 0PB. By bus you come in on Southern Vectis route 7, which serves Yarmouth bus station on Bridge Road not far from the harbour. Wightlink runs no car park of its own here; for longer stays use the public Yarmouth Car Park on River Road. Vehicles check in at the tollbooth on arrival, and foot passengers go to the boarding area beside the customer building.

Check-in

Wightlink requires vehicles to be checked in 30 minutes before departure and foot passengers 15 minutes. Whatever the deadline, be ready to drive on in the lane as soon as loading begins.
