The ferry port of Ystad is on the south coast of Skåne and is one of the most important Swedish ports towards Bornholm and Poland. From here you can reach Rønne on Bornholm and Swinoujscie. Together the routes run up to 18 departures a day, and crossings take between 1.25 and 6.5 hours. The port is served by Bornholmslinjen, Polferries and POLSCA Baltic Ferries.

Getting there and the terminal

Bornholmslinjen separates the approaches: if you are travelling by car or bicycle, head for Bornholmsgatan, 271 39 Ystad. Foot passengers go to the terminal at Hamntorget 2, right next to the railway station. Long-stay parking is available for a fee on Spanienfararegatan and short-stay spaces at Hamntorget itself, with further paid areas in town.

Check-in

For the sailings to Rønne, Bornholmslinjen requires you to be checked in ten minutes before scheduled departure. That applies equally to standard, flex and saver tickets, to foot passengers and to bicycles. It takes longer for vehicles with a disabled badge, for coaches and for travellers who need assistance: here it is 30 minutes. The deadlines count from the departure time in the timetable and apply even if the ferry is running late.
