Ferries to Dar es Salaam
Dar es Salaam is Tanzania's largest city and its most important ferry port for Zanzibar. Azam Marine and Zan Fast Ferries run fast ferries several times a day. The crossing takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.
Ferries to Mkoani
Mkoani is the main port of Pemba Island, in the south of the island. Zan Fast Ferries links the port with Zanzibar (1.5 to 2 hours) and Tanga on around 8 departures a week.
Ferries to Tanga
Tanga lies on the northern coast of Tanzania. Azam Marine runs a weekly overnight ferry to Pemba (Mondays at 23.00). Zan Fast Ferries sails twice a week to Mkoani (1 hr, from $46).

Zanzibar (Stone Town) is the capital of the Zanzibar Archipelago off the coast of Tanzania. Fast ferries run by Azam Marine and Zan Fast Ferries link the island several times a day with Dar es Salaam (about 1.5 hours) and Pemba.
