The ferry port of Alicante lies on the Spanish Mediterranean coast in the Valencian Community. From here you can reach Algiers and Oran in Algeria. Together the routes add up to as many as 4 departures a day. Crossings take between 11 and 13 hours. The port is served by Nouris El Bahr Ferries.

Getting there and the terminal

The port borders directly on the city. The port authority describes it as fully integrated into the townscape, so that you can move between terminal and centre on foot without needing any transport. According to the authority's terminal overview, passenger traffic to North Africa is handled at Muelle 25: the ferry terminal with two ro-ro ramps, passenger processing and commercial space, around 260 metres of quay and 31,500 square metres of open area. Do not confuse it with the cruise terminal, which lies separately at Muelle 14. The port administration itself sits at Avenida de Perfecto Palacio de la Fuente 3.

On frequency: the authority points out that the service to Oran runs daily in the summer months and weekly for the rest of the year. So always check the current timetable for your specific travel date rather than relying on the annual overview.
