- Ao Nam Mao Pier, Ban Ao Nam Mao, Provinz Krabi
Ao Nam Mao Pier ferry port is in Thailand, in the province of Krabi. From here you can reach Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe and Chean Vanich Pier. Together the services run up to 7 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 5.5 hours. The port is served by Tigerline Ferry.
Getting there and the terminal
The pier is at the southern end of the village of Ban Ao Nam Mao, east of Ao Nang. It is around 24 road kilometres from Krabi airport and about 30 minutes' drive south-west of Krabi Town. The approach follows the coast road; there is a guarded car park at the pier, available overnight as well.
Do not count on the facilities: there is a restaurant, toilets, covered waiting areas and small shops at or near the berth, but no left luggage. Operations run roughly from 8 in the morning to half past six in the evening. Some of the boats only leave once enough passengers have gathered, which makes a tight onward connection risky.
