Ferries to Ao Nam Mao Pier

Ao Nam Mao Pier lies 24 km from Krabi airport. Tigerline Ferry sails from here to Koh Phi Phi in about an hour and takes a good five hours to Koh Lipe.

Koh Jum (also Koh Pu in the north) lies between Krabi and Ko Lanta. Bundhaya Speed Boat and ferries from Laem Kruat Pier reach the island in 1-2 hours. There is no jetty; longtail boats bring you ashore.

Koh Kood (Ko Kut) lies close to the border with Cambodia and has several berths. Most boats run by Boonsiri, Lomprayah and Seudamgo tie up at Ao Salat in the north-east; from the mainland they come from the Laem Sok port area near Trat.

Tonsai Pier is the main harbour on Koh Phi Phi Don in Thailand. Ferries and speedboats run daily to Phuket (60-90 minutes), Krabi, Ko Lanta and Ao Nang. The car-free island is a popular tourist destination.

Mae Nam Pier (Pralarn Pier) lies on the north coast of Koh Samui, Thailand. Lomprayah high-speed catamarans link the island with Koh Phangan (30 min), Koh Tao (1.5 hrs) and Chumphon. Departures at 8:00 and 12:30.

Laem Sok is the main ferry port for Koh Kood in eastern Thailand, about 20 minutes from Trat. Boonsiri and Seudamgo run fast ferries several times a day (45-75 minutes). Services to Koh Mak are also possible.

Ferries to Nakhon Si Thammarat

Nakhon Si Thammarat is 101-113 km from Donsak Pier. Seatran Ferry connects it with Ko Samui and Ko Phangan. Bus plus ferry takes 4-8 hours. Ferries from Donsak run hourly from 5am to 7pm.

Ferries to Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport

Fourteen bus-and-ferry combinations run daily from Nakhon Si Thammarat airport to Ko Samui (3-5 hrs). Lomprayah, Raja and Seatran serve the route via Donsak. The bus takes about 1.5 hrs, the ferry 45 min. to 1.5 hrs.

Pakbara is the main ferry port for Koh Lipe in southern Thailand. Bundhaya, Ploysiam and Satun Pakbara Speed Boat run speedboats to Koh Lipe every day (about 1.5 hours). The port is also the gateway to Tarutao National Park.

Ferries to Phuket Town

Phuket Town (Rassada Pier) is Phuket's main ferry port, on the east coast of the island. 7 operators link the port with Ko Phi Phi (1-2 hours, from ฿450). Departures start at 8:30 am, and parking is available at 100 baht a day.

Ferries to Railay Beach

You reach Railay Beach across the sand; there is no ferry berth in the usual sense. Passenger boats from Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara Beach take around 20 minutes and run all day from morning until evening.

Ferries to Rayong

The ferry port of Rayong is in Thailand. Ferries run from here to Koh Kood. The port is served by Seudamgo.

Ferries to Samui Airport

No ship berths at Ko Samui airport. Lomprayah, Seatran Discovery and Lomlahkkhirin sail from Bangrak Pier and Pralarn Pier to Ko Phangan and Koh Tao, and the transfer from the airport is part of the ticket.

Ferries to Surat Thani

Tapee Pier in the town of Surat Thani is served by Lomprayah and lies 8 km from the centre. Three catamarans a day sail to Ko Samui for 600 baht. The night ferry leaves Ban Don Pier daily at 22.00, from its own pier in the centre.

Ferries to Surat Thani Airport

Seven providers run services from Surat Thani airport to Ko Samui. Raja Ferry, Lomprayah and Seatran offer bus-and-ferry combinations (2.5-4 hrs, from 492 baht). The last ferry from Donsak leaves at 7pm.

Ferries to Surat Thani City

Surat Thani City (Tapee Pier) lies on the Tapi river and links the mainland with the Gulf islands. Lomprayah, Raja Ferry and Seatran Ferry run to Koh Samui, Ko Phangan and Koh Tao.

Ferries to Surat Thani Train Station

Surat Thani railway station is in Phun Phin district, around twelve kilometres west of the city, and is not a berth itself. Raja Ferry sells combined bus-and-ferry tickets from here to Koh Samui, Ko Phangan and Koh Phaluai; the ferries leave from Don Sak district.

Ferries to Trang Airport

Transfers run from Trang airport to Ko Lipe and Ko Lanta. Tigerline Ferry sails from Had Yao Pier to Ko Lanta (1.5 hours) and Ko Lipe (2 hours 15 minutes). Onward connections to Ko Phi Phi are possible as well.

Ferries to Trat Airport

Trat airport is 20 minutes from the ferry piers for Ko Chang. Bangkok Airways flies from Bangkok 4 times a day. Combined minibus and ferry tickets (550-800 baht) bring travellers to their hotel in about 2.5 hours.
