- Ao Nang (Nopparat Thara Beach)
Ao Nang ferry port lies on the Andaman coast in southern Thailand. From here you can reach 11 destinations, among them Phuket, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta. Together the services run up to 52 departures a day. The range is wide: it is 30 minutes to Koh Yao Noi and 5.25 hours to Koh Lipe in the far south. Phuket airport is also connected, by boat and onward transfer. The port is served by Andaman Wave Master, Bundhaya Speed Boat and Phi Phi Cruiser.
Getting there and the terminal
The berth is not at Ao Nang Beach itself but at the adjoining Nopparat Thara beach. The operators list it in their timetables as "Ao Nang (Nopparat Thara Beach)" - anyone looking for the centre of Ao Nang with its beach promenade is looking in the wrong place. Nor should the berth be confused with the port of Krabi town: Klong Jilad Pier there is a departure point of its own and appears in the timetables separately from Ao Nang. A ticket from Ao Nang is therefore valid at the beach pier, not in town.
The operators do not publish fixed check-in deadlines for Ao Nang.
