Ferries to Bueu

Bueu ferry port lies in the Morrazo comarca in Galicia and has exactly one destination: the Illa de Ons. A boat leaves up to 17 times a day, and the crossing takes around an hour. The port is served by Mar de Ons and Naviera Nabia. The timetable is seasonal: averaged over the year the boats sail on three and a half days a week, with the emphasis on summer.

Getting there and the terminal

Departures are from Bueu's fishing harbour. The Naviera Nabia counter stands there on the Avenida Montero Ríos in 36930 Bueu and opens only on days with sailings. On Ons the boats berth at the As Dornas jetty, where an information point advises on the island's paths and facilities.

In high season you will not get on board without a permit: the Illa de Ons belongs to the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park. Naviera Nabia points to the Xunta de Galicia permit portal and requires the application to be made before you buy your ticket. Outside the main season the requirement does not apply.

Check-in

Naviera Nabia starts boarding 15 minutes before departure. Before that you have to go to the counter: that is where tickets are printed against the booking, and where you find out which jetty your boat leaves from.
