Ferries to Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste lies on the east coast of Fuerteventura. The listed ferry destination from here is the Isla de Lobos, the nature reserve off the northern tip of the island. Up to 2 departures a day appear in the timetable, and the journey takes around 1.25 hours. It is operated by Ferry Isla De Lobos.

Getting there and the terminal

The boat does not leave from Caleta de Fuste, and that is the most important point for your planning. Ferry Isla de Lobos names Corralejo at the northern tip of Fuerteventura as its fleet's home port; the sea crossing from there to Lobos takes only 15 to 20 minutes. From Caleta de Fuste the operator instead sells a combination of bus transfer and ferry ticket: you are picked up at your hotel or at an agreed point and driven across the island to Corralejo. Besides Caleta de Fuste, the operator lists Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo, Cotillo and Majanicho as pick-up points.

In practice that means two things. If you have your own car, you are better off driving straight to Corralejo and boarding there rather than taking the detour via the transfer. If you use the transfer, have the pick-up point and time confirmed by the operator in advance, because both depend on the departure booked in Corralejo and not on the time in Caleta de Fuste.
