Ceuta ferry port lies in the Spanish exclave on the North African coast, with the berth in the Manzanera - Otero district. From here you can reach Algeciras on the Spanish mainland, and at close intervals: a ferry leaves up to 44 times a day, and the crossing takes around an hour. The port is served by Balearia, Naviera Armas and DFDS, which ran the route under its former name FRS Iberia. Ceuta is therefore a port where all the traffic is concentrated on a single connection, but one that runs almost hourly.
Check-in
DFDS asks travellers to be at the port at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure. You can obtain your boarding pass from 48 hours before departure online, by phone or at the operator's sales counters. Allow generously for this lead time, especially with a vehicle. One consolation remains: because the ferries to Algeciras run throughout the day, a missed departure here rarely costs more than a wait in the terminal.
