Town port

The ferry port lies 13 km from the town it is named after.

Terminals
Cork Ferry Port / Ringaskiddy Ferry Port
Location
Ringaskiddy, County Cork

The Cork ferry port isn't in the city itself but in Ringaskiddy on the south shore of Cork Harbour, a good twelve kilometres from the centre. Brittany Ferries lists it as Cork Ferry Port or Ringaskiddy Ferry Port and reckons on 30 to 40 minutes' drive from the city centre. From here you can reach Roscoff in Brittany. A ferry departs up to twice a day, and the crossing takes around 14 hours. The port is served by Brittany Ferries.

Getting there and the terminal

By car, the route described by the company runs from the city centre south on the N27 to the N40, then east on the N40 (Cork South Ring Road), leaving at Exit 9 onto the N28 towards Ringaskiddy. The terminal is a single-storey, accessible building with a disabled toilet and baby-changing area; the Brittany Ferries information desk is staffed only around ship arrivals and departures. There's no catering in the terminal — the nearest pub is about a mile away in the village. Parking is for drop-off and pick-up only. Anyone wanting to leave a car for longer must, according to Brittany Ferries, use the paid car parks at Cork Airport instead.

Check-in

Brittany Ferries requires you to be checked in at least 45 minutes before departure. If you're travelling with a pet, you need to be at the terminal 90 minutes before departure.
