Town port
- Terminals
- Estación Marítima (Baleària Port), Moll de la Pansa
- Location
- Barri Faroleta/Diana, Dénia, Valencianische Gemeinschaft
Dénia ferry port lies on the Costa Blanca in the Valencian Community, between Alicante and Valencia, in the Barri Faroleta/Diana district below the castle. It is aimed entirely at the Balearics, and because the cape at Dénia juts far out to the east, the crossings from here are among the shortest from mainland Spain to the islands. Ibiza takes 2.25 hours, Formentera 3.5 and Palma on Mallorca 5.25 hours. There are up to six departures a day to Ibiza, five to Formentera and two to Palma; together the services run up to 13 departures a day, seven days a week. Formentera is worth noting: the island is served directly from Dénia, so there is no need to change on Ibiza. The port is served by Balearia.
Getting there and the terminal
Check-in and boarding both run through the Estación Marítima at the Moll de la Pansa, with separately signed entrances for foot passengers and vehicles. The approach starts at the roundabout on the Plaza de Benidorm next to the Paseo del Raset; from there it is around one and a half kilometres to the terminal, with the road following the water. The same stretch can be walked from the town centre along the promenade. If you arrive without a car, you can take the solar boat La Panseta instead, which links the town centre with the terminal free of charge. There is parking at the terminal and the first 45 minutes are free; in high season the spaces fill up, so allow time.
