Donsak ferry port is in Thailand, in Don Sak district on the coast of Surat Thani province. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Ko Phangan. Together the services add up to as many as 53 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 2.75 hours. The port is served by Lomprayah High Speed Ferries, Raja Ferry and Songserm.

Getting there and the terminal

The port is not in the city of Surat Thani but a good hour's drive away on the coast. Raja Ferry, the largest operator here, is based on Mitraphap Road in Don Sak district and therefore usually sells the crossing as a combined bus-and-boat ticket: pick-up points are Surat Thani airport, the bus station, the railway station and the centre of Surat Thani. Also worth planning for is where the ships arrive on the other side, because the operators use different berths. Raja Ferry lands at Lipa Noi pier on Ko Samui and at Thong Sala on Ko Phangan, while Lomprayah lands at Nathon. From Lipa Noi it is still a fair way across the island to Chaweng or Bophut, which you need to allow for on the onward journey.
