- Hiroshima Port Ujina Passenger Terminal
Hiroshima ferry port is on the Seto Inland Sea in the south of the city. From here you can reach four destinations, among them Matsuyama on Shikoku, plus Onomichi, Mihara and Setoda. Together the services add up to as many as 36 departures a day. Crossings take between 2.5 and 4 hours. The port is served by Setonaikai Kisen.
Getting there and the terminal
The point of departure is the Hiroshima Port Ujina Passenger Terminal in Ujina Kaigan in Minami ward. From JR Hiroshima station the city allows 30 to 50 minutes, whether by tram or by bus. The Hiroshima Dentetsu tram runs on line 5 via Hijiyamashita to the terminus at Hiroshima Port. By bus you take the Ujina routes 21-1 and 21-2 to Hiroshima Port or the Hiroshima Minato Shinsen to Hiroshima Port Sanbashi. The terminal is step-free and open all year round; alongside the ferries to Matsuyama, the ships to Etajima, Ninoshima, Nomijima and Miyajima also leave from here.
Check-in
