Ibiza ferry port is on Ibiza in Spain, below the old town of Dalt Vila. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Formentera, Barcelona and Denia. Together the services add up to as many as 146 departures a day, because the shuttle route to Formentera alone runs very frequently. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 8.5 hours. The port is served by 6 operators, among them Aquabus, Balearia and Formentera Lines.
Getting there and the terminal
Watch which departure point you need, because there are two. The large ferries to the mainland and to Mallorca leave from the Estación Marítima at Muelle de Botafoc, the mole complex on the east side of the harbour entrance. The boats to Formentera, by contrast, use the town harbour at the Estación Marítima Ibiza-Formentera; Trasmapi gives Avenida de Santa Eulalia for that and sells from desks 3 and 4. Half the harbour lies between the two stations, and it is not a short walk.
Check-in
The strictest times come from Grandi Navi Veloci: at the terminal two hours before departure with a vehicle, one hour on foot, and check-in closes 30 minutes before departure. On the short route to Formentera things are more relaxed. With Trasmapi it is enough to be there 15 minutes before departure with a boarding pass, or 30 minutes with a vehicle. Without a boarding pass, both deadlines double.
