Koh Kradan ferry port lies on Ko Kradan in Thailand. From here you can reach 12 destinations, among them Koh Lanta, Phuket and Koh Lipe. Together the connections add up to as many as 39 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 5.5 hours. The port is served by Bundhaya Speed Boat and Satun Pakbara Speed Boat Club.
Getting there and the terminal
Ko Kradan belongs to Hat Chao Mai National Park and measures around four kilometres. There are no roads, villages or cash machines on the island. Nor is there a pier: ferries and speedboats stay offshore, and longtail boats take you the last stretch to the long main beach on the east side and back out again.
From the mainland the boats start at the Kuan Tung Ku and Hat Yao piers in Trang province; allow 45 to 60 minutes for that crossing. Do not count on year-round service: the season runs from November to April, and during the monsoon between May and October sailings are cancelled in rough seas.
Check-in
Satun Pakbara Speed Boat Club requires check-in no later than 30 minutes before departure. A much stricter deadline applies to the international service to Langkawi in Malaysia: there you have to be at the desk 90 minutes beforehand. If you arrive late you lose the ticket; it is neither refunded nor rebooked.
