Koh Mak ferry port is on Ko Mak in the Gulf of Thailand. From here you can reach 6 destinations, among them Bangkok Khao San, Trat airport and Koh Chang. Together the services add up to as many as 23 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 6.25 hours. The port is served by Boonsiri High Speed Ferries.

Getting there and the terminal

The island's berth is called Ao Nid Pier, and that is exactly where the Boonsiri catamarans tie up. On the mainland, Laem Sok Pier near Trat is its counterpart; boats leave from there and by way of Laem Ngop for Ko Mak, and many carry on afterwards to Koh Kood or Koh Chang. The long services to Bangkok and Pattaya are not pure sea crossings but combined boat-and-bus tickets, which explains the journey times of more than six hours.

The timetable depends on the season: Boonsiri distinguishes between a high season from January to the end of May and a low season from the beginning of June to the end of September. So check which timetable applies before you travel.

Check-in

Boonsiri requires you to be at the designated check-in point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, unless something else has been agreed. That applies in both directions, so at Ao Nid Pier as well.
