Kaimuk Thong Resort (Strandanlaufpunkt)

Koh Ngai ferry port lies in Thailand. From here you can reach 12 destinations, among them Koh Kradan, Koh Lanta and Koh Mook. Together the connections add up to as many as 33 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 5.75 hours. The port is served by Satun Pakbara Speed Boat Club.

Getting there and the terminal

Koh Ngai has exactly one fixed berth, and it lies on the east side of the island, where the main beach also begins. The other arrival points in the timetable are named after the resorts they serve, and so is this one: it stands for the Kaimuk Thong Resort on the beach.

A narrow, steep path leads from the pier to the main beach, and it is hardly worth taking with luggage. The usual way is by longtail boat: the boats shuttle between berth and beach and set you down in front of your accommodation for a small extra charge. Clarify in advance with your resort whether it picks you up or whether you take the boat yourself.

On the mainland, Pak Meng Pier around 40 kilometres from Trang is the classic starting point, above all outside the high season. On top of that come speedboats from Koh Lanta, from the other Trang islands and from the direction of Krabi and Phuket.
