Koh Ngai Resort Pier (Hauptanleger, Ostseite)

Koh Ngai ferry port lies in Thailand. From here you can reach 11 destinations, among them Koh Kradan, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe. Together the connections add up to as many as 34 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 3.75 hours. The port is served by Bundhaya Speed Boat.

Getting there and the terminal

The island's only fixed berth lies on the east side, where the main beach also begins. The Koh Ngai Resort of the same name stands right by the pier, and the other places to stay are spread along the beach.

If you are not staying at the pier itself, you have two options. A narrow path connects berth and main beach, but it is steep and hard work with luggage. More comfortable are the longtail boats that shuttle between pier and beach and set you down in front of your accommodation for a small extra charge. Better to arrange that with the resort in advance than to improvise on arrival.

On the mainland, Pak Meng Pier around 40 kilometres from Trang is the classic starting point, above all outside the high season. In season, speedboats from Koh Lanta, from the other Trang islands and from the direction of Krabi and Phuket come on top.
