Koh Samui ferry port at Nathon Pier lies on the west coast of the island and is its main berth for the mainland. From here you can reach 10 destinations, among them Donsak, Surat Thani and Surat Thani airport. Together the services run up to 135 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 5.5 hours. The port is served by Lomprayah High Speed Ferries, Seatran Discovery, Seatran Ferry and Songserm.
Getting there and the terminal
Nathon is in the Ang Thong subdistrict; Lomprayah runs its office at Nathon Pier under that address and keeps it staffed during the day. Seatran Discovery lists Nathon Pier as a check-in station of its own alongside Bangrak in the north-east of the island, so the two berths are not close together. If you are taking a vehicle across, read the berth on your ticket especially carefully: Raja Ferry, which runs the car ferries from Donsak to Koh Samui, does not call at Nathon but at the Lipa Noi berth further south.
