Koh Yao Yai ferry port is on Koh Yao Yai in Thailand, the larger of the two Yao islands in Phang Nga Bay between Phuket and Krabi. From here you can reach 15 destinations. The quickest are the immediate neighbours: Phuket, Ao Nang and Railay Beach in 45 minutes each, Koh Phi Phi in an hour. Then come Koh Jum, Koh Lanta and the island group off the coast of Trang with Koh Ngai, Koh Kradan and Koh Mook, for which you have to allow between just under two and four hours. The longest runs go to Koh Bulon and Koh Lipe in the far south near the Malaysian border. Together the services run up to 51 departures a day, and journey times range from 15 minutes to 9.5 hours. The port is served by Bundhaya Speed Boat and Satun Pakbara Speed Boat Club. Both Yao islands hang on the same network: the boats call at Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi one after the other, which is why the destination lists of the two berths almost match and the shortest trip in the timetable, at a quarter of an hour, only goes to the neighbouring island.
