Krabi ferry port lies on the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand. From here you can reach 11 destinations, among them Koh Phi Phi, Phuket and Koh Lanta. Together the services run up to 63 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 4.75 hours. 6 operators call at the port, among them Andaman Wave Master, Chureang Travel And Tour and Phi Phi Cruiser.
Getting there and the terminal
Krabi's passenger quay is called Klong Jilad Pier and lies outside the centre of Krabi Town. Andaman Wave Master, one of the operators on the route, lists it as the fixed departure point for the boats to Koh Phi Phi. For getting there, that means a tuk-tuk or a taxi from town, not a walk down to the river.
There is a second departure point in the region. Speedboats are also handled at the floating pier at Railay East, on the Railay peninsula. If you are staying there, you do not have to go back to Krabi first. Which of the two berths your boat leaves from is on your ticket, and that detail matters more than the place name Krabi.
